BINGOL / LOWER KALEKOY DAM AND HES (2017)

Lower Kalekoy Dam and HEPP Project is located approximately 2 km downstream of the Yiğitler (Vahkin) Stream and Murat River junction, 15 km northeast of Genç district center as the crow flies. Construction work on the facility built on the Murat River was completed in December 2019.

The left bank of the Lower Kalekoy dam body designed as a composite is asphalt core fill, while the right bank is RCC. With this feature, the Lower Kalekoy Project, which is Turkey's first Asphalt Core Dam, has a fill volume of 4,800,000 m³ and a RCC volume of 1,900,000 m³. The width of the 945.00 m long crest is 10.00 m and it is 95.00 m above the thalweg and 107.00 m above the foundation.

The drilling andgroutingworks for the purpose of ground impermeability within the scope of the Lower Kaleköy Dam and HEPP project construction have been completed by our company.
